HOLIX/MAGIC

Holix

Combinations of holix are required to use magic spells. For example, to use the heal spell you must have holix b,f,and g (see chart below) in your inventory. If any of these are missing, you will not be able to cast the spell. The quantity of the holix you have will also be depleted by one each time the spell is cast. As you can see, it's important to have plenty of holix on hand at all times. Your Holix menu shows which holix you have and the Magic menu shows which ones are required for your spells.

Holix can be found laying on the ground or can be bought in some churches. There are also Permanent holix you can find which can not be depleted by use. Look at the chart below. The top two rows (a-n) are the different forms of holix. The bottom two rows (A-N) are the Permanent forms of the same holix. As you find these Permanent holix, they will replace the other ones in your Magic menu. Using the same example as above, if you have found Permanent holix B,F, and G then you can use the heal spell as often as you like.

So what do you do with extra holix? If you go to your Holix menu, you can select them and press Button I to use them on the character of your choice. See the list below the holix chart to see what effect each holix will have. I've also put in the area you'll find each of the Permanent holix so you don't miss any of them. Attack

    [W] Astral. Attack magic of Space. May be leveled up 4 times.

    [W] Lightning. Attack magic of Wind. May be leveled up 4 times. (Holix: D,I,M)

    [W] Burning. Attack magic of Fire. May be leveled up 4 times. (Holix: C,H,L)

    [W] Ground Crack. Attack magic of Earth. May be leveled up 4 times. Oltis City. (Holix: A,F,J)

    [W] Darkness. Encloses one enemy in darkness. Reduces target hit ratio. (Holix: K,N)

    [W] Sleep. Causes one enemy to sleep. Enemy will wake up if attacked. (Holix: B,G,M)

    [W] Ice Breath. Use against fire based enemies for big damage. (Holix: B,E,H,J,L,N)

    [W] Meteorite. Meteorites fall on enemies. (Holix: A,C,F,J,L,M)

    [W] Poison. Causes poison damage to enemy on every turn. (Holix: A,H,I,M)

    [W] Holy. When playing as the wizard, the ultimate attack magic.

 

Assist

    [M] Power Weapon. Raises the attack power of one friend. (Holix: A,G,H)

    [M] Protect Aurora. Raises the defense of one ally. (Holix: E,F,I,K)

    [M] Fast Speed. Raises the speed of one ally. (Holix: B,D,I,M,N)

    [M] Magic Shield. Raises the magical defense of one ally. (Holix: C,E,G,K,M)

    [M] Silence. Magic of the enemy is sealed. (Holix: B,D,F,H,L,M)

 

Heal/Cure

    [W,M] Healing. Restores HP. (Holix: B,F,G)

    [M] Cure All. Recovery of abnormal conditions other than fainting. (Holix: B,K,L)

 

Other

    [W] Search. Hidden passages are revealed. (Holix: E,G)

    [W] Unlock. Doors sealed with magic are unlocked. (Holix: A,H,K)

    [Main,W] Teleport. When used will return you to world map. (Holix: D,G,I,K)
