DEN OF BEGOLIAN

Cannibals!

Enter and turn W at the first intersection. Read the note on the corpse here (see pic).

Go back and continue N until...

-CUT SCENE-

Keep going N until you come to a door and stairs. Take the stairs down and talk to the cannibal there. If you had a Ruby in your inventory, he will move the big round stone out of the way. This makes it easier to exit this area if you run out of supplies later on. If not, no big deal. Either way, go back up the stairs you just came down.

Go S until you come to the room with the SAVE POINT (see pic). Use it, then walk over and take the TREASURE [Ruby]. Down you go!

2nd Floor

Please refer to the map above for the following section.

You start out by the "Toilet". (map area "A") Yuck!

All the TREASURE to be found is circled on the map above. You should find three silver coins.

Go to (map area "B") the man in jail and talk to him. Of course he wants you to let him out. Talk to the guard beside his cell and choose second answer.

-FIGHT-

Now flip the lever to open the cell door then go inside and talk to the man.

Start walking S again for another...

-FIGHT-

If you need any healing, go to the cannibal by the big pot (map section "C") and talk to him for full recovery. MMMM! Flesh stew! Don't forget to grab the TREASURE while you're there.

If you have a gold rock in inventory you can head over to the far E cannibal (map section "D") for a few games of chance. You may win a few items if you're lucky or skilled.

Go talk to the cannibal by the N stairwell (map section "E"). Depending on the herbs in your inventory, he may give you a TOOL.

Now go all the way S through the door (map section "F"). Flip the lever there then go down the stairs.

You can heal at the water here (see pic) by pressing Button I.

There's quite a few locked doors here and a lot of things to open so to save you some time, I'll show you the only ones that actually have anything in them.

Pick the lock then get the TREASURE [Gold Coin] here (see pic).

Pick the lock then get the TREASURE [Silver Coin] here (see pic).

Go here (see pic) and talk to the king. Choose top answer. If you don't want to fight him, you can leave now and exit this level through the double doors S of where you came down the stairs. Of course you are not a wimp and would like to get a hold of his awesome "crown". Be sure you have plenty of healing/revive potions and holix because this is a fairly long fight. Talk to the king again and choose the second answer.

Get TRINKET [Ground Crown]. Whew! Hope you still have some health left because when you try to leave...

-FIGHT-

Alright, unless you choose to go back upstairs and talk to the cannibal in the middle of the area, that should be your last fight in the Den Of Begolian. Now for the fun part!

Go through the double door S of where you came down the stairs.

If you go E here, you can go up two stairs to a note and a lever to allow you to exit out the top floor. Since we're not done here yet let's go the other way instead.

Press the wall button to and go W then N to a chest (see pic). Note: Be sure and stand on the side of the chest when you open it so you can avoid the poison arrow. If it hits you, it will slow you way down for the rest of this area. Open chest and get TRINKET [Power Ring]

Head S, through door then E and S to stairs down (see pic).

Follow the path until you get to three wall levers. Flip the right lever first, then the left one and a path will appear over the water.

Go N over the path then W to SAVE POINT.

Head N through the door then E past the double doors and past the water.

Go N and into the room with three chests (see pic). Get the TOOL [Source Of Physical Strength], TRINKET [Gauntlet], and TOOL [Source Of Power]. Looks like the big ball has rolled in front of the door so...

Go downstairs and follow the path S then through door and up the stairs. Flip the wall lever to make a path appear. Now go W and N though the double doors.

Go all the way W and N through the double doors. Head NW to the room with the three chests. Search to get TREASURE [Silver Coin].

Now go through the next door to the E and get TREASURE [Gold Coin]. Now next door E and N through the door.

Go to the NE room with the three pots and get TREASURE [Silver Coin].

Head W and N to the statue. Light the four pots around the statue by pressing Button I (see pic) and the secret stairs will be revealed. Go down the stairs.

Go E and S through both sets of double doors. Somethings down here!

Go W and talk to the giant. You can drink the water here for a full health recovery but I don't see why you'd need to. Follow the giant past the SAVE POINT to where he stops.

Note: Do these next steps in order. If you don't, you may end up fighting the giant and not getting some good items.

Talk to the giant and choose the top answer both times.

Go SW and get the TREASURE [Diamond] then read the note and get the TRINKET (ring) (see pic). Don't equip the ring and don't drink the water here because it's poison.

Go back to the giant and talk to him. Choose top answer and recieve PERMANENT HOLIX [Crystal Of Yutaka] (see pic)

Now talk to him again to recieve ARMOR [Magic Chain Mail] (see pic).

Now you can grab the TREASURE [God Of Area Idol] (see pic).

Now find your way out of the Den Of Begolian and head toward the Fishing Village.
