OLTIS CITY

A Rude Welcome.

-FIGHT-

Yep, you get in a fight when you get to the city. After defeating the enemies, follow the docks N to a house where there is a SAVE POINT and a bed you can use for a free recovery.

Go back S and enter the building leading into town. Here we go again...

-FIGHT-

Now enter town and head N and go into the church. Press the button on the statue to reveal a staircase down. Go down the stairs and get the TREASURE [Demon Hilt] (see pic).

Back up the stairs and exit the church. Go W to the prison tower which is the building with the guards out front. Pick a fight with the guards.

-FIGHT-

Enter the prison tower and go downstairs. Take the TREASURE [Prison Keys] and free the Priest. Recieve a MAGIC SCROLL [Aurora Protect] (see pic).

Now head up the stairs toward the top of the tower.

-FIGHT-

Go on upstairs and free Sister Maria. Talk to her and she will give you a recovery. Go back down the stairs.

-CUT SCENE-

Exit the prison and head to the S gate of town. Yep, it's the one with the guards. Pick a fight with them.

-FIGHT-

You knew it wasn't going to be that easy.

-BOSS FIGHT-

After defeating Bertram, you get an awesome decapitation scene (see pic). Love the arterial spray!

-CUT SCENE-

You're back in the house NW of town where you recieve TREASURE [Time Drop] (see pic).

Use the bed to recover then use the SAVE POINT. We've got a little unfinished business to take care of with some lizards so get back on your boat and take a little side trip over to Contole Island.

Visit To Contole Island

Defeat whoever you need to to get to the king. Defeat him and grab A CRYSTAL PIECE and then the TREASURE [God Of Water Idol] (see pic). Exit the island and take a trip back to Rostarl.

Trip To Rostarl

Go to the blacksmith's house (house "C" on the Rostarl map). Give him the Demon Sword Hilt and your Knife. Stay night at the Inn and he will make you the Demon Sword (see pic). Pick it up from him the next day.

Go to the church and place the 5 idols in place on the floor and the way to Northern Island will be revealed (see pic).

Stock up on any holix you may need while you're here. By talking to the head priest here I also recieved a TRINKET [MAGIC RING].

When you exit Rostarl a new area, Northern Island will appear on your world map. We'll be heading there in a minute but first let's stop by Oltis City once again for supplies.

Oltis City

The place seems a little friendlier this time around and all of the stores are now open for business. Here's a few of the things you'll want to check out.

You should have plenty of money from all the fish you sold earlier. If not, you can make some money by buying herbs and combining them into different items. You can do this by going into the potion store and choosing the bottom option. For a list of items you can make, check out the Gear/Items section of this site. Note that the Health Potion Large can be made for 30 coins and then sold to the potion shop for 80.

The weapons store has some new items for your party.

Go to the scroll shop and buy any Magic Scroll you don't already have. A very useful one is the Teleport scroll which you will use in the next part of the game.

Visit the coin exchange. One of the Permanent Holix [Crystal Of Area] can be obtained here. It's the fifth item from the top in the picture (see pic). If you are short of Gold Coins, there is a lizard on Contole Island who will exchange Silver Coins for gold.

Speak to the man in the cemetary to obtain Treasure [Dragon Steel] (see pic). This can be taken to the blacksmith in Rostarl and made into one of the three following items. Demon Steel shield, helm, or armor. Note that you can only pick one of these items and it will only be useful to your swordsman.

Once you are fully stocked up, it's time to move on to Northern Island.
